Dreams Come True

Dreams often times seem so unattainable. That’s why we consider them dreams right? At one point or another we have all thought about our dream car, our dream house, our dream job, our dream wedding, etc. What if you shifted your mindset though? Instead of dreams being so far-fetched, focus on going after your dreams and actually reaching them.

“A dream is a wish your heart makes.” Do I have any Disney lovers who recognize that lyric/song title? It was written and composed back in 1950 by Mack David, Al Hoffman, and Jerry Livingston, and sung by Ilene Woods for the Walt Disney film, Cinderella. Deep down you wish all your dreams would come true. It is important to never lose faith and go after what you want. This is your life to live. The only person holding you back is yourself.

Live your life with purpose and follow your calling. Along the way you will surprise yourself with just how much you can achieve when you put your mind to it. With determination and a solid work ethic, your dreams will soon become your reality.

I for one have achieved some big goals in my life thus far. I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a double minor in Justice Studies and Psychology. I have taken every opportunity I can to travel the world, both domestically and internationally. My foreign travels include: Uruguay, Chile, Canada, Mexico, The Bahamas, England, France, Italy, Bosnia, and Croatia. I dreamed of positively influencing others with my passion for communication, which has led me to launching this blog. Never doubt yourself because dreams truly do come true.

I have an endless list of dreams I am still working on reaching. Some of the big dreams on my list include:

-Continuing to travel around the world; especially visiting the Seven Wonders of the World, and swimming in each major ocean and sea

-Going on mission trips

-Volunteering at various non-profit organizations (I interned at New Hampshire’s Make-A-Wish chapter and it holds a special place in my heart)

-Earning my Master’s degree that I am currently working towards in Communication with a concentration in New Media and Marketing

-Building a family with my future husband

-Becoming a NY Times Best-Selling author

-Inspiring and empowering as many lives as I can during my lifetime

The list goes on and on…

I encourage you all to write down your very own list of dreams and start working towards reaching your goals and continuously adding new ones. Keep in mind that a dream is never too big. Know that you have me in your corner, and I will always be celebrating your wins with you!
